Recently, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon has banned the new allotments of the Housing societies in Islamabad. One of the main reasons behind banning is the unfinished layout plans and the non-approval by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad.
In this context, a notification was issued by the DC Office in Islamabad and later a tweet was also tweeted on Twitter highlighting the list of Housing Schemes in Islamabad. The List of banned housing schemes with unfinished layout plans also included the Gulberg Greens of Islamabad.
The list of Housing Schemes is as follows:
- IB Employees Cooperative Housing Society (IBECHS) including Gulberg Greens
- Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society (FECHS)
- Federation of Employees Cooperative Housing Society (FECHS)
- Services Cooperative Housing Society (SCHS)
- Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society (PMCHS)

- Ministry of Interior Employees Cooperative Housing Society (MIECHS)
