The KP government will finalize plans for around 4 Integrated Tourism Zones

Peshawar: The KP government has finalized a master plan for around 4 integrated tourism zones so that the tourist spots may be developed as per International standards. 

KP Government finalized the master plan as well as a feasibility study for the restructuring and establishment of four different Integrated Tourism Zone so that these spots can be brought up to par with international standards. 

These ITZ’s also include Ghanool in Mansehra, Madaklasht in Chitral, Mankiyal in Swat, and Thandiyani in Abbottabad. 

The feasibility study and Master plan for the ITZ’s were presented to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in a meeting on Thursday. After approval from the Chief minister the master plan is set to be presented before the World Bank to devise an implementation strategy. 

While briefing the meeting about these ITZ’s it was informed that the Ghanool ITZ would be the establishment of 480 Kanal, Mankyal on 754 Kanal, Thankdiyani that is based on 640 Kanal, as well as Madaklasht on 540 Kanal. 

These ITZ’s are expected to generate around 16,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, as well as an attractive investment worth USD 2.8 Billion. To make sure that foreign investments are secured for this upcoming project It was decided that these schemes will be presented at the Dubai Expo 2020. 

One of the most important things about the ITZ’s project is that it includes roads, water supply, tracks, stable supply of electricity, solid water management, pathways, as well as infrastructure development in the area. 

Taking to the occasion the Chief Minister noted that there was a huge potential for the promotion of Tourist spots in KP and this works out perfectly for the government efforts for the government’s initiatives to develop the tourism sector as a full-fledged Industry. 

He stated that the development and completion of the master plan of the ITZ are important and hoped that the tourism sector in the province would be developed in line with modern principles. For this objective, the upcoming ITZ’s will play an important role.
