President to increase foreign trade to uplift country export
Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi called for enhancing the trade crossing points along the border with neighboring countries in Baluchistan that will enhance the quantum of exports.
According to popular news sources, while addressing a meeting on Borders and Trade Management here at Aiwan-e-Sadar of Baluchistan. Dr. Arif Alvi asked the concerned organizations to take the necessary steps to ease the exporters and importers found in the border area of Baluchistan and this will ultimately help enhance the country’s exports.
Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Minister of Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin, Governor Baluchistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, Chief Minister Baluchistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bezenjo, Secretary Interior Yousaf Naseem Khokar, Chief Secretary Baluchistan, Mather Niaz Rana, and other senior officials are among those who were present at this meeting.
News sources also reported that the meeting was briefed about these problems that are being faced by the locals and traders of Baluchistan. It was also revealed that the province did not even have petrol pumps in the remote areas and the traders from this area didn’t have the necessary facilities such as communication and infrastructure that they could use to make sure that trading could properly take place around this area. There are no banks and no road networks as well which would help make trading easier.
President Alvi asked the concerned parties that they need to take appropriate steps that will help with the transportation of goods and services to and from Baluchistan.
