CM orders launch of the electric tram road project
Lahore: News Sources reported that Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered that an eco-friendly electric tramway project should be started on a priority basis.
This project will supposedly reduce the traffic burden at Canal Road as well as the Multan Road while also making the Motorways much more accessible to travelers.
The Chief Minister was Chairing a meeting at his office this Tuesday for the launch of the project. The elevated expressway project from Gulberg to Motorway M-2 was also deliberated upon by the participants.
The News sources also suggested that the elevated expressway would be passing through Jail Road, Canal Bank Road, Multan Road, Bund Road, Ferozpur road to Babu Sabu Road where the interchanges would be constructed.
Lahore Development Authority Director-General briefed the meeting about the Project. The attendees of the meeting included ACS, chairman P&D, Adviser to chief minister Dr. Salman Shah, secretaries of transport and housing departments, DG Punjab Mass Transit Authority.
DEVELOPMENT: According to the CM, resources have not been restricted to select cities as in the past, and the development path has been equally extended to remote and backward locations.
He mentioned this during a meeting with Provincial Minister Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari, MNA Rai Muhammad Murtaza Iqbal, and PTI leader Rai Hassan Nawaz in the CM's office, where they addressed issues of mutual concern.
