Peshawar: The KP government has decided to launch two new developmental projects in Peshawar and Mardan.
The schemes are Tokra III Ring Road in Peshawar and High-Rise Flats in Mardan. The projects are expected to be launched within the next two months.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the housing department which was chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said a handout. In the same meeting, the chief minister directed the housing department to fulfill all the pre-requisites to ensure the launching of the scheme within the stipulated time frame.
Earlier, the meeting was also briefed regarding the progress that is made so far on the development projects for the department. It was told that the planning and detailed design of the Tokra-III Housing project is underway so that the construction and development of the project meet its designated deadline.
This project consists of 1,080 flats that spreading over 79 Kanals. This scheme would be launched next month. The high-rise project in Mardan covers 2.17 Kanals of the area and is expected to be launched in October this year.
It was added that the development work on the Hangu Housing society will also be initiated in the near future. The participants for the project were also informed that the balloting of the 2,510 plots had been completed under Jalozai Housing scheme Phase-III while progress was also being made on the Jalozai housing flat scheme covering 150 Kanals of Land.
This scheme consists of 1,320 flats in total and around 750 applications have already been received so far however, the last date for the application for the scheme has been extended till August 31.
These are all schemes by the government for better planning and implementation of real estate initiatives and better provision of affordable residences for locals.
