Lahore: LDA governing body has approved an annual budget of Rs 63.4 bn for the fiscal year of 2021-2022.
The LDA Governing body that was headed by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved an annual budget of Rs 63.4 bn annual budget. The final budget is subject to approval by the planning and development, housing, and finance departments.
The governing body also approved the revised budgets for the last fiscal year at an estimated 48.7 bn for the last fiscal year 2020-2021.
LDA budget for 2021-2022 is inclusive of the Rs 9.4 bn urban development wing, Traffic engineering and planning authority, water and sanitation agency, Rs 22.5bn, and Rs 41.4bn to be received from the government as non-development and annual development program and deposit work receipts.
The Body also approved the creation of seat of chief engineer, a six-month extension for the authenticity of the commission set up for the rights of the bona fide purchases as well as the problems of the illegal housing schemes, Rs 500m bridge financing for the LDA city Naya Pakistan apartment scheme, Amendments to the LDA building and Zoning regulations for 2019 along with other approvals.
CM Buzdar addressed the occasion and remarked that CDA has already completed the Firdaus Market Underpass.
Work on three mega projects which include namely Shahkam Chowk Flyover, Gulab Devi Underpass, and Sheranwala Gate flyover this is underway these days.
