The Murree shuttle service was inaugurated at the Bhara Kahu Terminal of the Metro Bus Service in the presence of  Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Hanif Abbasi, and CDA Chairman, Mohammad Usman.
According to the news, it is a seasonal venture because the Islamabad to Murree Shuttle Service will remain operational for one month to facilitate the tourists visiting Murree traveling from Bhara Kahu to Lower Topa.

Despite being a significant initiative, Shuttle Service offers special amenities and protocal to children and old people. Children of the age group under 12 and citizens over 65 years of age are given the privilege to travel for free.

The Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Captain (r) Muhammad Usman Younis stated:

“The shuttle service also aims to reduce traffic on Murree Expressway during peak tourist seasons.”

Prior to this, the Punjab Government launched a testing phase of this shuttle service in July 2022 during the holidays of Eid-ul-Adha where 15 buses provided the shuttle service from Islamabad to Murree, and tourists were charged Rs100/- for a one-way ticket.

The shuttle service from Bhara Kahu to Lower Topa will be operational only over the weekends so the passengers planning to use the Islamabad to Murree Shuttle Service must plan their trips as per the shuttle schedule.

The public highly praises the shuttle service to Murree. Let’s see how smooth are the operations.
